Liceo Leonardo Murialdo serves more than 1,600 students from first grade through to the final year of secondary school, including 247 students in its School Integration Programme. In line with the school's own educational approach, built around integral, inclusive learning, the music room is meant to be a permanent space for the whole school community's artistic development.
Right now, the room's poor acoustic conditions get in the way of that: noise interferes with lessons and spills into nearby classrooms, a problem serious enough that it has already forced one classroom to be relocated. Fixing that gap is what makes this intervention a genuine priority rather than a nice-to-have.
The project
The project acoustically conditions the music room, turning it into a properly adapted space for classes, evaluations, rehearsals and workshops. The aim is to strengthen artistic education for children and young people, supporting inclusive, quality learning experiences and treating culture as a genuine space for participation, creativity and connection across the whole school community.
Built on inclusion, equity, participation and sustainability, the project removes a real barrier to artistic development, making sure every student has access to a space where they can actually learn and express themselves. The renovation itself is permanent, benefiting not just today's students but the generations who come after them.
