Mental well-being is an essential component of the WHO definition of health and Fondazione Carolina intends to work towards this through the prevention of mental disorders and the protection and enhancement of the self, cultivating civic responsibility and consolidating healthy and respectful peer and intergenerational relationships.

What the project involves

Through its Centre, Fondazione Carolina will respond to minors’ relationship distress with an interdisciplinary approach between educators, pedagogues, psychologists, and psychotherapists, researchers, computer scientists and lawyers, aimed at their mental and physical and socio-relational well-being. The services offered will concern support paths for victims of online violence, individual psychological support, group therapies and educational courses, local community and training experiences, assistance in social reintegration, and training for teachers and health and social services workers.

The beneficiaries

On average, the Foundation researches and develops 200 interventions each year, receiving up to 20 emergency situations and meeting up to 3,500 minors between the ages of 8 and 17 involved in various ways in cases of bullying or digital offences.
