ASD Thunder Roma has been rooted in the Roman area for 25 years. Its powerchair football team participates in national championships and international tournaments involving very long and expensive trips. The only resources it can count on come from public contributions or fundraising but its annual expenses, which also include the purchase and maintenance of high-tech wheelchairs, consistently exceed at least € 20,000.

What the project involves

The main goal of the project is to enable the team to participate in the 2025 Italian Powerchair Football Cup by providing the resources to support its costs. Such support would also grant the club the necessary funds to provide continuity and lay the foundations for the next seasons, continuing to promote sport for disabled people in the city of Rome.

Expected Outcomes

  • Contributing to increasing inclusion, beyond disabilities
  • Long-term sustainability of the team
  • Offering athletes continuity of activities

The beneficiaries

The kids in the team will benefit from the project; thanks to these funds, they will be able to participate in an important and formative tournament like the Italian Cup.

Gaining support would also have long-term positive effects on the entire ASD, which wants to attract as many disabled kids as possible to the world of sport in Rome.
