With the Edo and Elvo Tempia Foundation, Biella took part in the fourth edition and will be a partner in the fifth. The aim is to raise young people's awareness of oncological research by encouraging experimentation and active exploration and promoting inclusion through teamwork.

What the project involves

Girls and boys from Biella will be involved in scientific and artistic workshops and laboratories, producing photographs, videos, texts, and memes inspired by a scientific theme and creating collaborative works of art to be assessed. The creators of the selected works will go to Naples for the national exhibition and the final winners will share the experience of a master's in the prestigious laboratories at INFN or CERN.

Expected Outcomes

  • Improving skills through self-directed learning
  • Promoting teamwork through inclusion
  • Forming a more informed and aware citizenry by raising awareness of scientific, social, and cultural issues
  • Integrating sustainable practices by experimenting with unconventional education

The beneficiaries

In its fourth edition, the project reached two Biella schools, involving 110 students. For Biella, it was a first experience of discovery, which was well received.

In the fifth edition, four schools, about 250 young people and 10 teachers of art and science subjects, will be involved.
