The exhibition, which networks the Antonelli sites and highlights their special features, takes place in the former chapel of Villa Caccia in Romagnano Sesia, a local historical and cultural landmark, and allows accessibility to all museum spaces on the mezzanine floor.

What the project involves

Antonelli Experience is an immersive virtual tour that will lead the viewer to discover Antonelli's life and works through an interactive and immersive experience. The VR experience will become a strategic asset for the Ethnographic Museum, enhancing its museum offering with the aim of increasing visitor numbers and fusing new technology with tradition.

The project also includes the creation of educational programmes for schools and the organisation of fringe events and local collaborations, as well as the provision of interactive activities during the event.

Expected Outcomes

  • Promoting Antonelli’s works and the Upper Piedmont region
  • Sensory experience with augmented reality
  • Economic impact with increased revenue from ticket sales
  • Increased public participation

The beneficiaries

An increase in visitors is expected thanks to this exhibition. According to estimates, this will increase from 2,000 pupils per year to 5,000, including primary and secondary schools, and from 1,800 general visitors to around 3,000, enjoying both the museum and the exhibition spaces.
