As we know, sport has a big motivational value, especially in the case of Paralympic sports. It is, in fact, important for young people who have to undergo rehabilitation to directly know and see young people like them who love playing sports and who have found a way to fulfil themselves.
In 2026, Italy will host the Winter Paralympic Games and the next three years will be essential to presenting these sports and supporting those who wish to practise them or be introduced to the Games.
The project
Inclusion also means showcasing young role models who do competitive sports at a very high level in the Paralympic world.
With the project "Sport Emotion 4 All", FISIP - the Italian Paralympic Winter Sports Federation - wishes to introduce kids who are facing rehabilitation to sport, especially winter disciplines like ParaCross-country skiing, ParaAlpine skiing, and ParaSnowboard.
This will be made possible via young athletes’ direct testimony. Through videos and social media clips, they will be the stars of communication activities, describing their point of view on the Paralympic world, their experiences to students of the schools involved in the campaign, and to the rehabilitation facilities throughout the region.
The beneficiaries
The beneficiaries will be the pupils of Piedmont schools (and not just them) and all young people undergoing rehabilitation in the centres that the project will reach - mainly in Northern Italy. The broadcast will also be amplified through social media, the FISIP communication tools, and the social media accounts of the athletes involved, as well as through the Federation’s partner network’s channels. It is estimated that 10,000 young people will be reached.
