SDGs Agenda 2030

The priority areas of intervention of Reale Foundation have been identified with a view to alignment with the framework of the SDGs. (Sustainable Development Goals)

The specific Goals and Targets on which the Reale Foundation has focused are:
 

HEALTH & WELFARE AREA

In line with the Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Health and Wellbeing), Reale Foundation supports initiatives to combat the onset of chronic diseases by promoting the prevention of risk factors.
 
Reference targets

3.4 By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being.

3.5 Strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including narcotic drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol.

 

SOCIAL AREA

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals 1 (Zero Poverty) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), the Reale Foundation promotes the inclusion and socio-economic development of young people in conditions of vulnerability.
 
Reference targets

1.2 By 2030, reduce at least by half the percentage of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions according to national definitions.

1.4 By 2030, ensure that all men and women, especially the poor and vulnerable, have equal rights with regard to economic resources, as well as access to basic services, ownership and control over land and other forms of property, inheritance, natural resources, adequate new technologies and financial services, including micro-finance.

8.3 Promote development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalization and growth of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to financial services.

8.5 By 2030, achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and people with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value.

8.6 By 2020, substantially reduce the proportion of youth not in employment, education or training.

 

ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES AREA

In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Reale Foundation supports initiatives to increase the capacity of communities to cope with natural disasters.  
 
Reference targets
 
11.5 By 2030, significantly reduce the number of deaths and the number of people affected and substantially decrease the direct economic losses relative to global gross domestic product caused by disasters, including water-related disasters, with a focus on protecting the poor and people in vulnerable situations.
