The project was born in the Turin neighborhoods characterized by margins and socioeconomic barriers, which severely limit children's access to sports and outdoor activities. In these contexts, daily life is often restricted to school and home, increasing the risk of sedentary lifestyle and isolation.

Families, many of non-European origin, are facing economic, logistical and cultural difficulties that make activities such as skiing inaccessible, aggravated by the progressive increase in costs linked to this sport.

What the project involves

Launched in the 2022/23 season with 55 children and growing to involve 166 participants in 2024/25, the project offers completely free ski courses, accompanied by summer activities that continue the educational path throughout the year.

The aim is to reduce social and cultural inequalities, fostering educational development and inclusion through sport and contact with nature. The initiative integrates action by schools and families, promotes active lifestyles, supports the integration of children of foreign origin and the inclusion of minors with disabilities, helping to strengthen social skills and a sense of belonging.

The beneficiaries

Direct recipients are 160 children between 6 and 10 years old, coming from contexts of economic, social and cultural disadvantage. The project devotes particular attention to those who risk exclusion or live with disabilities, offering equal opportunities for access to training experiences in sport and nature.

Indirect beneficiaries are the families, the schools involved and the territory, which through participation in the project strengthen community ties and inclusion processes.
