The project develops in the Municipality of Dego, in Liguria, a hilly area characterized by strong community cohesion, a rich naturalistic heritage and a deep-rooted agricultural tradition. Despite these resources, the area has a shortage of accessible and inclusive spaces for sociability and collective well-being.
The need for places capable of welcoming all people, promoting integration and respect for the environment, represents the starting point of Fiascoforest “Il Quartino”.
What the project involves
The initiative intends to complete and make the Fiascoforest fully usable, a space accessible and open to all, dedicated to sociality, well-being and sustainability. The project promotes inclusion, mobility and cultural valorisation through routes and furnishings designed to also welcome people with disabilities, educational and cultural activities and environmental regeneration initiatives.
The aim is to strengthen community resilience and transform the forest into a common good that combines nature, culture and active participation.
The beneficiaries
The project directly involves students, families, elderly people and people with disabilities, who will be able to take advantage of accessible routes and activities. The beneficiary is the entire Dego community, which will find in the Fiascoforest a new space for aggregation and inclusion. Visitors and tourists will also be able to live experiences of sociality and sustainable tourism, generating positive impacts on the area.
