UPLUNG: Autonomy and Long-Term Prevention

AISIWH supports children and young people living with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, a rare genetic condition, through a combined programme of neuropsychological rehabilitation and gut health monitoring. UPLUNG treats these two areas together rather than separately, working with neurologists and neuropsychologists on each child's rehabilitation while tracking and correcting imbalances in gut bacteria that research links to worse neurological outcomes, easing the syndrome's long-term impact on skills and daily life.
