The six-legged detective

Cooperativa Paradigma trains young people with intellectual disabilities in scent detection work with dogs, then gives them a genuine peer tutor role, teaching what they've learned to other participants across a network of day centres. Working closely with a dog is known to build attention, care and collaboration, and here those skills become the basis for real responsibility, turning participants from recipients of a service into people others actively rely on.
