Tackling loneliness in young people with intellectual disabilities
Adisli works with teenagers and young adults who have a mild intellectual disability or borderline intellectual functioning and are experiencing real social isolation. Combining psychological support, community leisure activities and help building everyday social autonomy, the project gives each young person the chance to form genuine, lasting friendships, addressing loneliness that, for this group, tends to run especially high and carry serious consequences for their mental health and independence.
