For decades, the Bosso Sports Centre has been a landmark for the Turin community, a place to meet, train and forge bonds through sport. Today, however, this 24,000-square-metre facility is in a state of neglect and in need of restoration to give the city back a valuable space for socialising and inclusion.

The project stems from the commitment of Davide Nerattini, who has been involved in the management of sports and tourist facilities since 1993 and who, together with strategic partners such as the Italian Sports Centre and the Diocesan Youth Organisation, wants to restore vitality to Bosso. The aim is to breathe new life into grassroots sport, making it accessible to all age groups and transforming it into a tool for wellbeing, prevention and social cohesion.

What the project involves

The project involves a complete refurbishment and upgrading of the Strada Lanzo 200 facility, in collaboration with Terme SPA Resort S.r.l., which will be responsible for the adaptation work and technical procedures. Once renovated, Bosso will become a modern, multifunctional centre, designed to host sports activities at low cost, encouraging access for anyone who wants to take up sport.

The project is also a cultural initiative: enhancing a historic structure means offering a point of reference to neighbourhoods such as Barriera di Milano and Madonna di Campagna, strengthening the role of local associations and encouraging use by schools, promoting sport as a tool for personal and collective growth.

The beneficiaries

The direct beneficiaries will be local sports associations, which serve a catchment area of around 200,000 people, but also residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods, schools and young people, who will find Bosso a safe and accessible place to grow through sport.

The project aims to make Turin more inclusive and dynamic by investing in a facility that, in addition to hosting basic sporting activities, will become a symbol of urban and community renewal.
